Ok… I promised a few weeks back that I would update but I just haven’t had the time to. Since I’ve been working things have changed quite a bit. Time for model building has to be planned into my day. While its not too bad it just means I cant do things exactly as before but I am still adjusting to this and trying my best to fit everything. OK enough with the boring stuff.
So whats this post all about? Well this is just a continuation from the previous keeping you up to date and the progress of the cars. Some of these pictures are from quite a while back but I feel its important so that the progress of the build is a bit more clear. So where am I? well things are standing to fall into place and getting quite exciting. My bumpers have all been cast and will be ready for sales soon. I am happy with the outcome and thanks to my caster the copies look great, fits well too. Its been quite a long journey but a real learning curve for me. I would have never thought I would be stripping Kyosho models let alone making parts for them. It has definatly increased my confidence for scratch building and also getting some done for once. I have a tendency to get a bit lazy towards the end of a build which is a bad habit I know.
So where to from here? well once all the parts are cleaned up and fitted its ready for paint. The carbon areas will also be done before clear and then my favorite part begins, polishing. Yes it can be a nightmare but i find quite exciting as all your hard work pays off with a glorious shine. I am a sucker for a good paint job. There is some extra items that I will be including but more on that later. For now here is more pictures.
Resin copies done.
